eso-pipelines software package provides ESO VLT Instrument pipeline collection, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install eso-pipelines
eso-pipelines is installed in your system.
Make ensure the eso-pipelines package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep eso-pipelines *
You will get with eso-pipelines package name, version, architecture and description in a table
